Green Planet Forest School celebrates "full house" of success in new Ofsted framework

Buckinghamshire based Green Planet Forest School Ltd is celebrating a landmark achievement this week after becoming one of the first Forest School Providers in the country, and the very first in Buckinghamshire, to secure a "Strong Standard" across every single category of Ofsted’s rigorous new inspection framework.

Green Planet Forest School becomes the first Forest School Provider in Buckinghamshire on the Early Years, Compulsory Childcare & Voluntary Childcare Registers to have achieved the new Ofsted Strong Standard in all areas

The inspection, conducted in April 2026, marks a major milestone for Green Planet, Buckinghamshire’s only full service Forest School provider, under the national "report card" system introduced late last year. Moving away from single-word judgements, the new framework evaluates childcare providers across five key areas, including Safeguarding, Children's welfare and wellbeing and Inclusion.

Green Planet Forest School achieved the Strong Standard - a grade indicating practice that is consistently high-quality and above statutory requirements - in all five categories!

The visiting inspector spoke with children throughout the day and parents at collection time and commented: “Children arrive at Forest School happy and excited. They quickly settle in as staff greet them warmly and with genuine friendliness. Children are encouraged to explore their interests and participate in a wide range of activities through proactive staff engagement. A safe environment is maintained that the children enjoy exploring. A diverse selection of activities, shaped by children's input, is available to ensure opportunities align with individual interests and developmental needs. This responsive approach fosters high levels of engagement and active participation among all children.”
